It will be the end of service for London’s iconic ‘India Club. The landmark structure with links to India’s First Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Lady Mountbatten, the last Vicereine of India, and Krishna Menon, the first Indian High Commissioner to the UK.

The India Club is to shut down next month after losing a long battle against closure, according to reports. The historic meeting venue was served a notice by the landlords to make way for a more modernised hotel.
