The Quint takes a look at how the Twitter world reacted to PV Sindhu’s win over Nozomi Okuhara in the semifinal.

PV Sindhu stormed into the final of the women’s singles (badminton) event after beating the world number six Nozomi Okuhara of Japan 21-19, 21-10 on Thursday.

The Indian contingent, who had not won a single medal until wrestler Sakshi Malik clinched the bronze medal on Wednesday, have another medal assured with Sindhu reaching the final of her event.

Sindhu’s win set the Twitter world abuzz with film stars, sportspersons and other celebrities congratulating the badminton player.
