India’s medal hopes in women’s wrestling on Day 12 have been kept alive by Sakshi Malik who just won the first of her repechage matches.

Competing against Mongolia’s Orkhon Purevdorj, the Indian 58kg freestyle grappler completely dominated the 6 minutes of the bout, bagging it with a 9-2 scoreline.

Sakshi has now moved into the bronze medal match, one victory here and India could well win it’s first medal of the Rio Olympics!
