Addressing speculations about Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s elevation to the post of the party President, Sonia Gandhi told ANI:
Jab hoga toh pata chal jaayega (people will come to know when it happens).
She was speaking ahead of Congress party’s meeting on Tuesday.
Making her first public appearance after a long illness, Congress party President had called a dinner meeting of all the party MPs and office bearers in the Parliament House on Tuesday, according to The Asian Age. Interestingly, the gathering happened just a day prior to the ending of the Budget session of the Parliament on Wednesday.
This is a part of the Congress party’s annual ritual wherein it hosts dinner for its MPs twice in a year. The event was attended by leaders such as Shashi Tharoor, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi.
Sources have indicated that a leadership overhaul is slated post the Budget session, according to The Asian Age.
