Kerala MP E Ahamed Dies After Suffering Heart Attack in Parliament

The IUML MP passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

Senior Kerala MP E Ahamed, on Tuesday, suffered a heart attack and collapsed in Parliament's Central Hall. He was rushed to New Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and was put on life support, but passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A team of three doctors, consisting head of cardiology Neeraj Pandit, head of anaesthesia Rajesh Sood and In-charge of Nursing facility RS Tonk, were monitoring Ahamed's condition.

Ahamed, a member of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and a former Minister in the UPA government, fell unconscious during President Pranab Mukherjee's address.
