In the ongoing brawl in the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav is emerging as the clear winner.
Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav might have chided his son and UP CM Akhilesh publicly on the stage but this notwithstanding, the script behind the stage is clearly pointing towards Akhilesh's victory.
This seems a little unclear on the surface but if one analyses the mayhem closely, the real picture emerges out.
CM to Take Decision on Removed Ministers
In an SP meeting, Mulayam allegedly told Akhilesh, "Who are you? What is your standing?" After this comment made by the veteran politician on his son, speculations were rife that Akhilesh's stature in the party could shrink.
The next day, after this development, Mulayam Singh Yadav held a press conference with his brother Shivpal Yadav. When he was questioned on the dismissed ministers' reinstatement into the government, Mulayam answered, “Only the CM can take a call on this."
This very statement is enough to indicate that Akhilesh didn't hear anyone's pleas on the ministers' reinstatement. This clearly indicates Akhilesh's victory.
Shivpal Yadav Vacates His Official Bungalow
Following his dismissal from the Samajwadi Party, Shivpal Yadav has vacated his official bungalow. The nameplate outside his bungalow was found missing on Wednesday.
This clearly shows that Akhilesh has not given his nod on reinstating the removed ministers. And going by the current circumstances, there are dim chances of Shivpal returning to the government.
This too shows that Akhilesh has emerged victorious in the fight with his uncle.
Pawan Pandey Removed From the Party but Not From the Government
There is no truce in sight between Akhilesh and Shivpal. This became clear when Pawan Pandey, cabinet minister and a close aide of the CM was removed from the party for six years.
He was rusticated on charges of indiscipline. Pawan Pandey had allegedly clashed with SP MLC Anshu Malik at a party meet which didn’t go down well with Shivpal Yadav.
However, despite being rusticated, Pawan Pandey is still a part of the government. This shows Akhilesh is in no mood to remove Pawan from the party.
Here too Akhilesh is giving tough competition to his uncle.
Why Did Akhilesh Meet the Governor?
CM Akhilesh Yadav met the UP governor Ram Naik at the Rajbhawan on Wednesday. Reports claim that Akhilesh updated the governor with the ongoing political happenings. Other speculations are doing the rounds too. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
