An integral part of most Bollywood films for years has been playback singing. Today though the landscape has changed massively. Earlier you had composers wanting specific singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi or Asha Bhonsle. Today there are so many voices, how does a singer make a mark then?
On this week’s episode of OffScreen we speak to singer Shashaa Tirupati who’s sung songs like ‘The Humma Song’, ‘Baarish’, ‘Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga’ in Hindi and also a bunch of Tamil songs in films like Ok Kanmani and Katru Veliyadai.
