Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu were spotted at the trailer launch for their upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh. The two actors went retro with Taapsee in high-waisted checked pants and a colourful printed shirt, and Bhumi in a white embroidered jacket and trousers. The two were joined by the original sharpshooter daadi Chandro Tomar, one of the two women on whose life the film is based.

Saand Ki Aankh is based on the true story of octogenarian sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar, who made made history by becoming the world’s oldest and second-oldest sharpshooters, respectively. The women from rural Uttar Pradesh started learning how to shoot in 1999-2000 when they were in their 60s. Together, they have won over 50 national championships and have gone on to train many shooters in the last decade and a half.
Saand Ki Aankh has been directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap and Reliance Entertainment. It hits theatres on Diwali.
