In Photos: Harry Potter’s Quidditch in the Himalayas!

I work for an NGO as a teacher in a remote Himalayan village in Uttarakhand. The kids are shown Harry Potter movies as an exercise to learn English.

They asked if they could fly on a broomstick like Harry did. Since I was already into levitation photography, I thought why not? It just might bring some magic into their lives.

We built a set-up for a photo shoot in accordance with the actual Quidditch rules mentioned in the books. It was tricky to make the toddlers and teens understand what I intended for them to do.

After four consecutive weekends of hopping and jumping with the custom-made broomsticks and props, I marshalled the photos together and photoshopped them fittingly. On seeing the pics, the kids revelled as much as I did.
