The Prithvi Theatre Festival 2018 was opened today, 5 November, at Mumbai’s Prithvi Theatre. The iconic theatre, founded by the late Shashi and Jennifer Kapoor, turns 40 this year. Several Bollywood celebs and theatre veterans were spotted at the venue participating in the festivities.
Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Kalki Koechlin, Ahana Kumra, Imtiaz Ali, and Jim Sarbh are some of the celebs spotted. The Prithvi Festival this year was flagged off at the Royal Opera House and would go on between 3 and 12 November. One of the star attractions this year is a re-imagining of Prithviraj Kapoor’s iconic play Deewar, which is being helmed by Sunil Shanbag.
