Black is not just a colour, it is an attitude. It’s not a monolith – it comes in different textures and styles. So here we are, presenting some of the best black style statements from Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2018.
What’s interesting here is that the polkas have been given the cut-out and applique treatment, which gives black yet another texture. Not that it needed it!

Ragini Ahuja’s “Clan” collection was all about sharp contrasts and exaggerated silhouettes. Aren’t you just intrigued by these sleeves? Notice the black jooti too?
Fringes
“I Am Worth” by Nikhita Tandon too had lots of black. The fringed skirt here is an interesting look. This, along with the sheer black blouse looks quite chic.
Oversized Shoulders
Designer Rajesh Pratap Singh experimented with the architecture of black, as he gave us oversized, structured shoulders. Quite cool!

Monochromes in Indian wear are perfect for the shaadi season.

Label SHIVAN & NARESH gave us rich botanical embellishments in gold using luxurious Italian Crepe Jersey and thick knits.

What’s more powerful than a black power suit, or a jumpsuit with minimal embellishment.
