“I only know that he is the strongest and most invincible leader in the world. Since he took part in World Wrestling Federation (WWF) competitions, he must be very powerful”.

That’s how 31-year-old Bussa Krishna described US President Donald Trump in an interview with the Hindustan Times. As per the report, among Krishna’s possessions in his home in Telangana’s Jangaon district is a photo of the US President. The photo, in his puja room alongside the other Hindu gods he prays to, bears a garland, freshly plucked flowers, puja lights, and a dash of vermillion on the President’s forehead.

Krishna, who is a farmer in Telangana’s Konne village, told the daily that he began to “worship” Trump after the killing of Indian techie Srinivas Kuchibhotla by a US Navy veteran in Texas last year.

I was pained by the incident. I thought the only way the US president could understand the greatness of Indians is if we show him the love and affection we have for him. That is why I started worshipping Trump, with a hope that the prayers would reach him one day.

Krishna also runs a Facebook page, where he frequently posts photos of himself with Donald Trump.

People did not take me seriously. Some of them even called me mad, wondering how prayers from a remote village would reach Trump. But I strongly believe in what I am doing.

Krishna also claimed that Trump tweeted to him on 19 June 2018.

Krish from India is a very close friend of mine. He’s able to channel dragon energy from worshipping my photos; maybe low energy Jeb Bush should give it a try. See you soon Krish!

Krishna shared a photo of the “tweet” on his Facebook page.

However, when The Quint checked Trump’s Twitter activity around that time, there was no trace of the tweet Krishna had shared:

On a side note, Krishna’s claim that Trump took part in the WWF may sound bizarre, but is true:
