Rodrigo Duterte Sworn in as the New Philippine President
The swearing-in was witnessed by members of the incoming Cabinet members lawmakers and the diplomats.
- Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday was sworn in as the 16th President of the Philippines.
- Duterte took oath before Supreme Court Associate Justice Bienvenido Reyes at the Rizal Hall of the Malacanang Palace at 12 pm, the Inquirer daily reported. His daughter Veronica, held the Bible while he took his oath.
- The swearing-in was witnessed by members of the diplomatic corps, incoming Cabinet members and lawmakers. After his swearing-in, Duterte will administer the mass oath-taking of his Cabinet members.
