Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was part of the Holi celebrations in Karachi hosted by the Hindu community on 15 March.
A video of the event emerged where a young woman named Narodha Malni could be seen performing a rendition of the Gayatri Mantra after which a visibly impressed Sharif applauded her.

‘Forcing Anyone to Convert His Religion Is a Crime’
Sharif even addressed the gathering of community members, including lawmakers, and said:
Islam gives importance to every human being regardless of his caste, creed or religion and I say it clearly that forcing anyone to convert his religion is a crime and it is our duty to protect the worship places of the minorities in Pakistan... Pakistan didn’t come into existence to be against any religion. It is wrong to consider any religion inferior.
