Two major political figures from North America’s two biggest countries visited India last week – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and US President’s son Donald Trump Jr. Both visits were marred by criticism, one for being all about pleasure and other for being all about business.

For now, let’s talk about Donald Trump Junior’s trip, which came under the scanner by ethics experts in the United States who cited a major conflict of interest in promoting the Trump brand abroad while his father is in the White House.

Comedian and TV host John Oliver, in the latest episode of HBO’s Last Week Tonight, breaks down Don Jr’s India visit, in his signature style.

Oliver took down Trump Jr over the “Trump has arrived” newspaper ads which appeared before his India trip, saying “Trump has arrived: something Don Jr says every time he orgasms.”

He went on to mock the US president’s son with a quote from a Lodha group employee, who told the Washington Post, “Ideally, we’d have preferred Ivanka”.

The Trump scion in an interview with CNBC TV18 said “India’s poorest of the poor always have a smile on their face,” to which Oliver says they were also thinking, “We would have preferred Ivanka.”

Donald Trump Jr was billed to make a speech on ‘Reshaping the Indo-Pacific - The New Era of Cooperation’, but hours before the conference began, the speech was turned into a "fireside chat" where he spoke about his business and stayed clear of policy issues.

Much like every other comedian in the past two years, John Oliver too has gone into overdrive in making fun Donald Trump. He has done several episodes centered around Trump, including the most famous one in which he started the campaign ‘Make Donald Drumpf Again’ in response to Trump’s 'Make America Great Again’.
