John Kerry and Barack Obama React to Orlando Gay Bar Shooting

Barack Obama has said there was no clear evidence that the Orlando killer was directed by extremists.

Both US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday reacted to the shooting at a gay night club in Orlando on Sunday which killed 49 people.

Barack Obama has said there was no clear evidence that the Orlando killer was directed by extremists or a larger terrorist network.

He further said that the gunman, Omar Mateen, had been “inspired by various extremist information that was disseminated over the internet.”

John Kerry warned Americans against pointing a finger at a particular religion after the gunman involved in the shooting pledged allegiance to the Islamic State militant group.
