- President Barack Obama said on Saturday that the black US military veteran alleged to have killed five policemen in Dallas is not representative of African-Americans.
- He was speaking at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) summit in Warsaw, Poland when he called the shooter a “demented individual”.
Obama added that if you care about safety of police officers, you cannot set aside the gun control issue.
Obama said that in the Minneapolis shooting, there was a gun in the victim’s car that was licensed but caused, in some fashion, the tragic events.
