Co-Founder of ‘Vines’ & HQ Trivia, Colin Kroll Found Dead

The 35-year-old Kroll was found dead in an apartment in New York due to alleged drug overdose.

Co-founder of the popular video platform (now defunct) Vine, Colin Kroll was found dead in an apartment in New York on Sunday, 16 December, reported American online tabloid, TMZ citing police sources.

The 35-year-old Kroll, who was also the CEO and co-founder of mobile game, HQ Trivia (also know as Hype Quiz Trivia), died due to alleged drug overdose.

According to media reports, the police discovered his body after his girlfriend requested the New York police for 'routine-check' as she was 'unable to reach him on his cellphone.'

The reports also suggested that his body was discovered with the “drug paraphernalia” nearby.

Following the collapse of video platform, Vine in 2016, Kroll co-founded HQ Trivia with Rus Yusupov, which was launched on iOS in August last year and later on Android in December 2017.

Kroll's also worked as an advisor to micro-blogging website Twitter but was later suspended from the company for alleged 'bad behavior.'

So far, the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.
