Donald Turmp’s Twitter rant against Pakistan in the first week of January got him a lot of flak, and now a bravery medal. Yes, the people of Afghanistan’s Logar province have decided to honour the US president with a 'Medal of Bravery' over his recent stance against Pakistan.

"This (medal) is handmade from available gold," RadioFreeEurope Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) reported, quoting Said Farhad Akbari, a community leader in the province.

The medal reads – “This Bravery Medal is from the Afghan People to Donald Trump, President of the United States of America.”

The medal has been made with funds collected by residents from the Logar province, located 60 km south of Kabul.

The medal is said to be worth 45,000 Afghanis (US $645) approximately and has been made with 15 grams of gold, ANI reported.

The bravery medal has been given to the US Embassy in Kabul, from where it is supposed to reach Trump.

"US Ambassador in Kabul, John R Bass, has promised that he will soon handover the medal to President Trump," said Akbari.

"The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than US $33 billion in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools," Trump said, in one of his first tweets of the year.

Just days after the tweet, US even suspended about $2 Billion in aid to Pakistan until the Islamic country shows concrete moves to fight terrorism and flesh out terror outfits like Taliban.

Such a strong stance against Pakistan was welcomed by Afghan citizens, who said that they have "waited 16 years" for someone in the US administration to be tough on Pakistan, The Times of India reported.
