CLAIM
A video showing school students registering online attendance by scanning ID cards in front of a machine is going viral on social media. The video is being shared with a claim that it is from a school in Delhi.

The video is being massively shared on Facebook with captions hailing Arvind Kejriwal for improving the infrastructure in government schools in the national capital.
TRUE OR FALSE?
While most users claimed that the video is from Delhi, The Quint could confirm that the claim is misleading and the video was shot at a school in Pakistan.
WHAT WE FOUND
On conducting a simple reverse search using the Yandex search engine we were directed to several social media uploads hinting that the aforementioned video is from a school in Pakistan.
On conducting a keywords search on Facebook using terms like ‘online attendance’ and ‘Pakistan school’, we were directed to posts by several users. One user by the name Bilal Kayani had tagged Leadian's School System & Montessori, a Rawalpindi-based school as the location where the video was shot.
The Quint got in touch with officials from Leadian's School System and Montessori who confirmed that the video is from their school and was shot on 31 July 2019.
