A clip showing damaged structures, smoke billowing from a distance, and an airplane on fire has gone viral on social media, where users have linked it to the recent armed conflict between India and Pakistan.
What are users claiming?: Those sharing the clip have claimed that it shows the aftermath of the Indo-Russian BrahMos missile hitting a nuclear command center next to Pakistan's National Command Authority's headquarters.
How do we know?: We carried out a reverse image search on some parts of the viral video, which led us to several recent social media posts which said that the visuals were from Israeli airstrikes on Yemen's Sana'a airport.
Taking a cue from this, we looked for news reports about the attack.
A report published on Al Jazeera Arabic's verified YouTube channel on 7 May 2025 showed the damage to planes and infrastructure at the Sana'a airport, carrying visuals similar to the clips in the claim.
Its description mentioned that it showed Israel's second attack on Yemen "following a missile attack by the Ansar Allah group on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv."
Similarly, a TRT World report, also published on 7 May, mentioned that as per Israel's military, their strikes had "fully disabled Sanaa airport."
Their report also carried visuals resembling clips from the viral claim.
It added that the strikes involved 20 bombings "targeting civilian infrastructure across the capital, Sanaa," including a cement factory, power stations and the Sana'a international airport.
Conclusion: A video from Sana'a, Yemen has gone viral with the false claim that it shows the aftermath of the BrahMos missile hitting a nuclear command center in Pakistan.
