How did we find out the truth?: We divided the viral video into multiple keyframes and performed a reverse image search on some of them using Google lens.

  • This led us to an old Instagram post shared on 1 March 2025 by an Israeli news website, YNET, predating the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

  • The post carried the same video and the caption said, "17 were injured in a fire at a villa for rent in Tiberias, including 11 children. Several were recorded jumping from the second floor in order to escape the fire, 5 were moderately injured."

  • Taking a cue, we also performed a relevant keyword search on Google which led us to other Israeli news reports (here, here, here and here) about this incident.

  • It mentioned that this happened on the early morning on 1 March 2025 at Rakefet Street in Tiberias.

Conclusion: An old and unrelated video of people jumping from a burning house is being falsely linked to Iran-Israel conflict.
