This video, and another one like it, were originally uploaded in May 2017. The video in circulation is from a raid on Pappu Canteen in Ludhiana, which was reported by The Times of India on 13 May, a day after the original video emerged. The report adds that the canteen was closed down following the raid.

This proves that the video has been circulating online since 2017.

Now, to clarify, the above video and the current one in circulation are not the same.

However, they appear indisputably similar. The location in both videos, the placement of furniture, the location of the toilets, the placement of food containers in front of said toilets, even the way food is stacked in both videos is uncannily similar, suggesting that they’re from a raid on Pappu Canteen, Ludhiana, and NOT from a raid on Sukhdev Dhaba in Murthal.

Additionally, the report from the Times of India corroborates that the dhaba was indeed raided, during which food was discovered in the toilets.

Food was found stored in a washroom and rotten fruit and vegetables were found in stock. The district bar association has closed the canteen and filed a complaint with the civil surgeon.

In response to this video, which began doing the rounds on Youtube on 30 May and Facebook on 2 June, the owners of Sukhdev Dhaba released a statement clarifying that the video is fake and not from their kitchen, and have asked followers on Facebook to report the same as spam.
