News reports: A simple reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral clip directed us to a news report published by The Indian Express that carried the same visuals.
The report said that an undated video of a Sikh soldier receiving a grand welcome by his family members after coming home from training went viral on social media platforms.
It was published on 16 August 2023.
Other sources: Team WebQoof found the same visuals uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Brut India on 17 August 2023.
Its description said, "This is how a soldier was welcomed by his family after he came back to his village."
Conclusion: While we could not independently verify the location or date of the video, it is clear that the clip predates the Operation Sindoor.
