A video showing a huge crowd waving their hands at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's convoy is circulating on social media.
What we found: We divided the viral video into multiple screenshots and ran a Google reverse image search on some of them.
It led us to the same video uploaded by Business Today on 25 August.
The video's description noted that it showed PM Modi’s mega roadshow in Ahmedabad.
PM Modi was in the city to launch ₹5,400 crore infra projects at Khodaldham ground.
We, then, ran a relevant keyword search and found the same video uploaded on 25 August on PM Modi's official YouTube channel.
Google Maps confirmation: We looked for the location of the building structure shown in the viral video and searched for it on Google maps.
We found the location and found similarities in both visuals.
Additionally, PM Modi visited China between 29 September-1 August, as per the Ministry of External Affairs (MeA).
We found no reliable source or government announcement backing the viral claim.
Conclusion: The viral claim stating that BJP flags were hoisted in China is false as this video is from Ahmedabad.
