Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, a video is now going viral on social media platforms with a claim that it shows recent visuals of destruction at the Gujarat Airport.
Those sharing the clip further claimed that Pakistan has destroyed the said airport.
What is the truth?: Neither is this video recent nor is it related to Gujarat. The incident dates back to July 2021 and shows a massive explosion at Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
How did we find that out?: Using the help of Google Lens, we performed a reverse image search and came across the same visuals uploaded on a Facebook handle named 'Arabian Daily'.
It was posted on 8 July 2021 and its caption said, "#BREAKING: Massive explosion on ship reported at Jebel Ali Port in Dubai."
It added, "A fire caused by an explosion within a container on board a ship at Jebel Ali Port has been brought under control; no casualities have been reported, says Dubai civil defence (sic)."
News reports: An Al Jazeera report said that a container ship at Jebel Ali Port had caught on fire after an explosion. The authorities said that the situation was brought under control.
The report added that the incident did not lead to any casualties.
Australian news organisation News.com.au, too, had shared a video report on their official YouTube channel on 8 July 2021. It was titled, "Massive explosion rocks Dubai."
Conclusion: Evidently, the video is old and unrelated to Gujarat or India.
