A video which shows lights going out during a match between Pakistan and New Zealand is being shared on social media platforms as a recent incident from a stadium in Pakistan.
What did users say?: An X (formerly Twitter) user shared the clip with a caption that said, "Sudden Power Cut in Pakistan during Pak Vs NZ match. And these jokers want Kashmir."
How did we find that out?: Using the help of a keyword search with the words "pakistan vs new zealand lights off", we came across similar visuals posted on the official Instagram handle of Dawn Today.
It was uploaded on 5 April.
Its caption said, "WATCH: The lights went out during a delivery on Saturday at Bay Oval Stadium in New Zealand's Mount Maunganui, adding drama to the match between Pakistan and New Zealand, which the Black Caps won by 43 runs, completing a 3-0 series sweep."
News reports: A report published in Radio New Zealand said that the lights went out at Bay Oval during the final match of the series between Pakistan and New Zealand.
The moment occurred when Jacob Duffy was ready to bowl against Tayyab Tahir.
New Zealand Cricket said that the incident took place due to a mechanical failure.
