Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also referred to this viral image in an address in the senate on 15 May 2025.
This was streamed live on PTV Parliament and can be heard at 1:37:38 timestamp.
How did we find out the truth?: We found several inconsistencies in the viral clipping including multiple spelling errors and indecipherable words. These have been highlighted below:
The masthead seen in the viral image matches with the The Daily Telegraph, based in the United Kingdom, however, none of the other placement is the same.
Moreover, we could not find any such article on their website.
We also found that the Union government’s press information bureau (PIB) had dismissed this claims and called the image fabricated.
Pakistani newspaper Dawn also shared a report calling the image inauthentic.
Conclusion: A fake newspaper clipping attributing 'The Daily Telegraph' claiming that it is praising PAF is going viral as real.
