If you are on social media, then you most certainly must have come across the ‘one-man-band’, who has been making waves across micro-blogging sites.

Armed with an array of instruments, right from drums to the guitar, to even a mouth-organ, this man’s musical capabilities has left several people, including celebrities, dumbstruck.

Earlier in the week, the multi-faceted Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter to post a video of the man, urging people to retweet him, in a bid to make him popular.

Soon after, on Tuesday, 12 June, Anand Mahindra, the executive chairman of the Mahindra Group followed suit, inquiring of his whereabouts. However, Mahindra, quoting a friend, indicated that the man appeared to hail from the northeast of India.

Almost immediately, Karma Paljor, consulting editor at News18 debunked Mahindra’s apparent claim. Paljor tweeted that the performer was in fact from Thailand, and was named Sompong Uma.

And sure enough, a simple internet search on Uma throws up several Youtube videos of the performer performing at various locations, including stage shows.

Further, Uma has close to 1 lakh followers on Facebook, and has also shared the video that has seemingly made him viral in India, on his Facebook timeline.

Uma also has around 6,000 subscribers on Youtube.
