A video showing massive fire breaking out on the streets is going viral on social media.

  • The claim states that it shows a recent blast in Sialkot, Pakistan, which was a part of Operation Sindoor.

What's the truth?: This video dates back to March 2025 and shows massive fire that broke out because of a gas cylinder truck.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video using Google lens.

  • This led us to an Instagram post shared on 24 March 2025 which carried the same video.

  • The caption stated that the video shows a gas cylinder blast that happened in Sion Dharavi, Mumbai.

  • Taking a cue, we performed a relevant keyword search on Google which led us to several reports about this incident which occurred on 24 March 2025.

  • Economic Times, ABP Live, Times of India, Free Press Journal and News9 Live carried the same visuals and mentioned that fire broke out on 24 March near PNGP Colony, Sion-Dharavi Link Road, after a gas leak ignited the cylinders.

  • It added that the truck was parked in a residential zone, causing immediate alarm.

Conclusion: An old video showing a cylinder blast in Mumbai is being falsely shared a recent blasts from Sialkot, Pakistan.
