What we found: We divided the clip into multiple screenshots and ran a Google reverse image search on some of them.
We came across Al Jazeera's post on X, featuring the same video. It was uploaded on 13 May 2021.
This meant that the video was NOT linked to the recent tensions between Israel and Iran.
CNN reported that an Israeli airstrike destroyed Al-Shorouk Tower in Gaza. This was the then third high-rise building to be destroyed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) since the escalation of violence began on 10 May 2021.
Another Al Jazeera report noted these buildings were targeted with warning missiles before being completely destroyed, causing extensive damage and loss of property and livelihoods for the people.
It noted the psychological impact of these attacks on the Palestinian residents, who felt that Israel is deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure and trying to impose a media blackout in Gaza.
Other news outlets such as Voice of America and ABC News also reported about this incident in 2021.
Team WebQoof has debunked this video in 2023 when it was being shared with a different claim. You can read the story here.
Conclusion: An old video from 2021 showing a building crashing into the ground has been falsely linked to recent Iran and Israel's tensions.
