A video showing the Indian tricolour being paraded in a rally is being shared to claim as recent visuals from Balochistan, Pakistan.
This claim comes amid internal tensions within Pakistan about the calls for Balochistan to become a separate country.
What we found: At first, we divided the video into multiple keyframes and ran a Google reverse image search on some of them.
We came across a post on Facebook from 30 January. It showed similar frames as the viral video.
The video's caption noted, "ABVP Organised a Tiranga Rally from TRC Chowk to Lal Chowk, Srinagar Kashmir."
We, then, ran a relevant keyword search and came across a post featuring the same clip on Instagram from Asian News Hub. It was also uploaded on 30 January.
The post noted, "ABVP carried out a tiranga rally in Lalchowk Srinagar this afternoon."
A report by The Hindu further confirmed the details of this incident.
The report noted that the student group's 'Tiranga rally' at Lal Chowk aimed at showcasing national pride and solidarity with India.
Several individuals participated and carried the national flag and sang the national anthem, symbolising the engagement of Kashmiri youth in nationalist activities.
The rally came following the Jammu and Kashmir government's decision to withdraw permission for an ABVP sports event in Doda.
The government also released a circular to the Education Department following an official in Poonch instructing students to participate in the group's rally.
News 9 Live also covered this rally at Lal Chowk in January.
Conclusion: A video of ABVP's rally in Srinagar has gone viral to falsely claim that it shows a demonstration in Balochistan.
