A video of a huge consignment of weapons is going viral on social media to claim the Indian Army has recovered these weapons and cash from the militants in Manipur.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on Google lens using some of the keyframes of the viral video.
Our search led us to the same video shared on Facebook with the caption in Burmese that read, "Ammunition and cash seized during the Battle of Falam."
We then performed a relevant keyword search using Burmese and English words on Google. This led us to a video report on a YouTube news channel named Myanmar Now News.
This was shared on 10 April 2025 and the caption stated, "The revolutionary army captured Falam, the second capital of Chin state."
Apart from this, after watching the video carefully, we noticed an insignia on the soldier's uniform.
We found out that this logo represented Myanmar's BNRA i.e. Burma National Revolutionary Army, which is an armed resistance group of Myanmar.
Conclusion: A video of seizure of weapons in Myanmar is being shared on social media with false claims that it is from Manipur.
