Claim: Mumbai Airport circular says that a syndicate of criminals are selling keychains at public places, airports and petrol stations. The keychains have inbuilt tracking device chips that allow them to track people's whereabouts.
The message was going viral a few years ago and has again gone viral on social media.

Well, the message doing rounds on social media is false and here is why. The contact numbers given in the message claiming to be Mumbai International Airport are not the same numbers provided on the airport's official page.
A source from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, told The Quint the circular was never issued by the Airport authority.
"It is fake. It was being circulated two-three years ago also, but it is not true," said an employee from the Appellate Authority of the airport. The first time, in 2017, Bangalore Mirror had busted the fake news.
The message also appeared on social media during 2012-2014 from a 'Harris County Constable' warning people about miscreants giving away key rings equipped with tracking devices.
The same message has been shared by replacing the contact details of the county with the fake contact numbers of the airport.
