The screenshot of a set of two tweets is viral, where the first one, supposedly by senior journalist Barkha Dutt on 13 April, accuses the BJP of being "anti Muslim".

The tweet read: "BJP is Anti Muslim. They have not done anything for Muslims.. This is my view who do u think? Drop your views below."

A lengthy rejoinder by Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi forms the second tweet, where he is seen detailing the work the BJP government has done for the Muslim community.

This purported screenshot has been shared by several people on social media, including one KKRG, whose Twitter bio claims he is the "District secretary for BJP's Media cell from Thoothukdi".

TRUE OR FALSE?

Further, a combined search for both Dutt's and Naqvi's handle throws up no results on Twitter, indicating that such an exchange never took place between the two.

Another giveaway is the length of Naqvi's response. Twitter has a limit of 280 characters per tweet, and Naqvi's supposed tweet definitely exceeds this limit, which is not possible.

One more loophole in the screenshot is the language in Dutt's tweet as can be seen in the line "This is my view who do u think?", which is grammatically wrong in its construction.
