A video has been going viral on social media that shows a man hanging a child upside down from a window and thrashing him mercilessly. The video is being circulated on social media websites with the message that encourage people to forward it to all the Indians and also across the world so that the man gets arrested.
The text message that accompanies that video says, "Contribute your bit in spreading this video in every corner of India and the world. I have done my bit. And you cannot even think how big a job you are doing. Very soon this bastard should be arrested."
TRUE OR FALSE?
Though the incident is true, the man and the child in the video are not Indians. The incident took place on 25 December 2018, in Santa Rosa of Laguna province in Philippines. According to MSN, the father filmed the video and he also admitted that he was drunk when he was beating the 4-year-old child.
After filming the gruesome act, he sent the video to his sister who approached the police and asked for their help in rescuing the boy.
He was arrested on 27 December. The boy is currently in the care of Department of Social Welfare and Development. The mother has said that as long as she gets the child back, she has not intentions of filing a complaint.
The video was earlier debunked by Social Media Hoax Slayer.
