A video which purportedly shows King Charles III speaking against United States President Donald Trump for attacking Iran is being circulated on social media platforms as his recent statement.
What did the video show?: In the video, he was heard saying, "When Donald Trump says Iran can be erased. When generals whisper of bunker busters and tactical firepower and when Israel's skies glow with the sparks of retaliation, I do not stay silent. I will not let the world be dragged into chaos by those who speak louder than they think. Mr Trump, this is not a game of missiles, this is the fate of millions..."

What's the truth?: The video has been generated using the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and does not show real visuals.
How did we find that out?: We noticed that the words coming out of King Charles' mouth did not match the lip movement. This indicated towards the possibility of the video being manipulated using AI.
To further verify the authenticity of the clip, we passed it through two detection tools named 'Hive Moderation' and 'Resemble AI'.
The first tool showed around over 99 percent probability of the video being manipulated using AI.
Resemble AI categorised the audio of the viral clip as "fake".

Finding the original video: A Google Lens search on the keyframes of the viral clip led us to the original video posted on the official YouTube channel of Fox News.
It was uploaded on 9 September 2022 and its title said, "King Charles III addresses a nation in mourning after queen's death."
We also found a transcript of the entire statement, however, we did not find any mention of Iran or the United States.
Conclusion: It is evident that the video was AI-generated and does not show real statements given by King Charles.
