How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video and this led us to the same video shared by BBC on YouTube.

  • This was shared on 14 August 2015 and the description stated that it shows footage of two massive explosions in the Chinese city of Tianjin.

This was also reported by BBC and Reuters and it states that 50 people died and 700 were injured when a warehouse owned by a company specialising in handling hazardous goods caught fire and exploded.

Conclusion: An old video from China is going viral to falsely claim that it shows a nuclear attack by Iran on Israel.
