A post is doing the rounds on social media with a claim that India has recently declared cow dung and cow urine fit for human consumption.
What else did the claim say?: The information was attributed to a purported press release "issued by the Bureau of Bovine Harmony and Culinary Integration (BBHCI)" on 4 July.
What is the truth?: The claim is false. There is no such body named BBHCI of the Indian government.
We further did not find any evidence to support the claim that cow urine and dung have been announced as fit for consumption.
No body named BBHCI exists: We conducted a simple keyword search on Google and did not find any details about a body named BBHCI. This clearly voided the press release that was going viral.
No information available in public domain: Team WebQoof did not come across any news reports or information available in the public domain that supported the claim of India recently declaring cow urine and dung fit for consumption.
What did detection tools show?: On passing the entire text through two detection tools namely 'Copyleaks' and 'Originality AI', we found that both the tool showed around 100% and 98% percent of the content being AI-generated respectively.
The tool showed 100 percent of the text being AI-generated.

Conclusion: It is evident that the text has been generated using AI tools and does not show an actual press release.
