TRUE OR FALSE?

However, the link which has been shared by Rana is fake. Ayushman Bharat Yojana has only one official website.

WHAT WE FOUND OUT

The link shared by Rana leads to an empty page which hasn’t even been launched yet, and is not related to Ayushman Bharat Yojana — which has only one official website.

Upon examining the URL, we found that the site is a sub-domain of babawishu.com which is registered under the name of a Ramesh Kumar and was created in July 2018.

The official website of Ayushman Bharat Yojana has a disclaimer at the top which clearly states that it is the only official website of the scheme. This is the official link for the scheme: https://www.pmjay.gov.in/.

“We request the public not to pay heed to fraudulent calls, SMS and WhatsApp messages regarding the enrolment/premium payments for the scheme. Please do not share your Aadhar card number or any other ID copy in the name of verification or enrolment with any website, individual or organisation.” the website reads.

This is not the first time that a fake site for the Yojana has gone viral on social media. In October 2018, a WhatsApp message urging people to register for the scheme on a fake website had been circulated.
