Actor Vikram’s Son Dhruv Rams Car into 3 Autorickshaws; 1 Critical

Tamil actor Vikram's son Dhruv was involved in an accident early on Sunday, 12 August, when he allegedly rammed his car into three auto-rickshaws in Teynampet. Police sources told The News Minute (TNM) that investigations regarding the case are underway at the J2 Adyar police station.

According to reports, the auto-rickshaws were stationary when the aspiring actor's car hit them and one person has been injured due to the impact. Meanwhile, the auto-rickshaws have suffered significant damage. The Pondy Bazaar police station was the first to be alerted about the accident and members of the police force rushed to the site. Following this, the case was handed over to the Adyar traffic police.

‘Not a Case of Drunk Driving’

Police sources tell TNM that Dhruv has been booked under section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (Causing hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC. He has also been granted bail.

"This is not a case drunken driving. We have ruled it out," says a member of the Adyar Traffic investigations wing.

There were reportedly two more people in the car with Dhruv. The injured man, Kamesh, has been admitted to the Royapettah government hospital. The pictures from the accident site show a battered auto-rickshaw.

In a video that has emerged on social media, one of his friend's who was in the car can be seen arguing with the policeman and saying that he won't get into the police vehicle.  Rahul, as the police refers to them can be seen trying to make calls to someone and asks the person shooting the video to stop filming him. He then proceeds to run away from the camera.
