As Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao celebrates his 61st birthday, on the occasion of  Maha Shivratri, some of his loyalists may have taken the event to be more than mere coincidence.

Huge cutouts of what seems to be like KCR in the avatar of lord Shiva and IT Minister K T Rama Rao and Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao in the avatars of Lord Vishnu were put up campaigning for the TRS party’s cause in the state.

Though it may seem unusual to many, the state is not new to this kind of celebrations. Former chief minister N T Rama Rao’s portrayal of Krishna and Vishnu in Telugu movies won the hearts of people to such an extent that many were convinced that he was the real deity. They worshiped his cutouts in similar forms like that of a modern day Rajinikanth.

Though it could not be confirmed, the posters suggest that they are located in the Medak district which is the chief minister’s constituency.
