Priyanka Gandhi, who is the daughter of Sonia Gandhi, will be seen campaigning with the Congress President and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi before the UP elections from the family’s Lok Sabha constituencies of Amethi and Rae Bareli.
Priyanka has never campaigned beyond these constituencies and has usually shied away from active politics.
She also attended a meeting with senior leaders of the party in Uttar Pradesh in the midst of expected changes in the leadership within the party.
The Congress Workers Committee unanimously voted for Rahul as the new President of the party after senior leader AK Antony put forward the proposal.
She will also attend a photo exhibition on Indira Gandhi's life in Nehru-Gandhi's ancestral place in Allahabad on 21 November.
