Just hours after Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan slammed people “targeting” the film industry over the issue of casting couch and said that harassment exists everywhere, Congress leader Renuka Chowdhary backed her statement saying that the Parliament isn’t immune to the ‘casting couch mentality’ either.

“If you look at the western world today, established top actresses took this long to come out and say me too. It’s time India stood up and said me too,” she added.
Also training guns at Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh blaming pornography for rapes, she said that the problem is the mentality and not pornography.
“They blame everything for their own failures. He should resign immediately because obviously he has no clue what this country is about. Is he trying to tell me that there has been no pornography in the past? Was India pornography-free and hence was it rape-free? What about men’s mentality? What about your laxity in implementing the law?” she said.
Slamming the government over its inaction and silence over the Kathua and Unnao rape cases, she said that the government lacked sincerity in dealing with the issue and was only interested in pretending to be working for the safety of women.
