The Monsoon Session of the Parliament is concluding on 10 August.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament was adjourned sine die on Friday, 10 August, ANI reported.
The amended Triple Talaq Bill was not taken up in the Rajya Sabha on Friday as no consensus could be built around it, Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu Venkaiah Naidu said.
On Thursday, 9 August, the Union Cabinet had approved amendments to the bill, with the fresh version allowing a magistrate to grant bail to those men divorcing their wives abruptly.
Following uproar by the Opposition over the Rafale Deal, the Upper House had been adjourned till 2:30 pm.
Friday is also the last day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Divorce on Grounds of Leprosy Bill Introduced in LS
The Personal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2018 introduced in Lok Sabha today seeks to amend five personal laws – the Divorce Act (for Christians), the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, the Hindu Marriage Act, the Special Marriage Act and the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act – to strike down leprosy as a ground for seeking divorce.
According to the bill, introduced by Minister of State for Law P P Chaudhary, the provision of leprosy as a ground for divorce was part of the law because when these Acts were introduced, leprosy was incurable.

Triple Talaq to be Tabled in Rajya Sabha After Cabinet Approves Amendments
The much-debated Triple Talaq Bill will be tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Friday, 10 August, a day after the Union Cabinet approved amendments to the bill.
The fresh version of the bill allows a magistrate to give bail to the men found instantly divorcing their wives.
According to the new provisions of the bill, which is pending in the Rajya Sabha, instant divorce will continue to be illegal and void, attracting a jail term of three years for the guilty.
The offence has been made compoundable. If the wife and the husband desire to settle their differences, then the magistrate can compound the offence on appropriate terms and conditions. Magistrate can grant bail after hearing the wife.Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, as quoted by IANS
The minister said the cabinet approved three changes in the bill which has been stuck in the Upper House due to opposition demands on making the offence bailable.
One of the amendments mandates that only the wife or blood relation can lodge a police case, reported The Indian Express.
The Lok Sabha passed the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill in December last year that made the practice a criminal offence for which a police officer may arrest an accused without warrant.
The bill proposes that a man who pronounces triple talaq shall be punished with a three year jail term and a fine.
The woman will be entitled to maintenance for her and her children. A woman can also seek the custody of her minor children from the magistrate who will take a final call on the issue.

Indian Money in Swiss Banks Fell 34.5% in 2017: Goyal
Indian deposits in Swiss banks fell by 34.5 percent in 2017 and by 80 percent since the Narendra Modi government came to power in 2014, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said on Tuesday, 24 July. He was citing data from the global body of central banks, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
He said this in Parliament rebutting reports last month, which quoted the Swiss National Bank, the country's central bank, as saying in its annual report that Indian deposits had risen by 50 percent in 2017.
Last month, PTI had reported SNB data that the money parked by Indians in Swiss banks rose to CHF 1.01 billion (Rs. 7,000 crore) in 2017 after falling for three consecutive years.
BIS data show non-bank loans and deposits, which constitute the individual and corporate deposits and exclude inter bank transactions, have fallen by 34.5 per cent in 2017 to USD 524 million compared to USD 800 million in 2016, he said and vowed to continue the crackdown against black money.
“Further, there has been significant reduction in Swiss non-bank loans and deposits of Indians by 80.2 per cent between 2013 and 2017,” he said adding the figure in 2013 was USD 2.6 billion which came down to USD 2.3 billion in 2014 and USD 1.4 billion 2015.

Speaking on the issue of black money and account holders in Swiss bank, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that the amount of money deposited by Indians in the Swiss National Bank had reduced by 80 percent. “After Modi government came to power in 2014, the amount deposited in the Swiss National Bank has reduced by 80 percent between 2014 and 2017,” said Goyal.
“According to data released by Swiss National Bank, loans and deposits of individual Indians in the bank decreased by 34.5 percent in the last year compared to the previous year,” he added.
