Six parties from the erstwhile Janata Parivar are set to merge on April 15 under the leadership of Mulayam Singh Yadav. The new party will be called Samajwadi Janata Party and the party symbol will be the cycle, according to sources.
A formal announcement is set to be made tomorrow after a meeting at Yadav’s residence. The Samajwadi Janata Party will merge Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (U), Rashtriya Janata Dal, Janata Dal (S) and Samajwadi Janata Party (R).
