In Comics: HRD Minister Smriti Irani’s Re-Tweet Information (RTI)

A comic on MHRD Smriti Irani’s effort to save youth from anti-nationalism.

This week, Smriti Irani used RTI (Re-Tweeted Information) to rescue higher education from the dangers of anti-nationalism and unpatriotic spirit. To counter the rote memorisation of Western science and theories, the Honourable Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister proposed the rote memorisation of ancient Sanskrit manuscripts.

Faced with a crippling lack of enthusiasm, outdated teaching techniques, and widespread disillusionment, the IITs will now join the ranks of great universities in at least one field, providing an absolutely useless language course.

(The artist is merely an engineer with a Master’s degree, and thus unqualified to directly address our great leaders.)
