Gujarat Elections Will be Held Before 18 December: EC

For the first time, Himachal will have 136 all-women managed booths, said Chief Election Commissioner AK Jyoti.

The Election Commission announced on Thursday, 12 October, that the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections will be held on 9 November, and the results would be announced on 18 December.

The schedule for the Gujarat Assembly elections was not announced. However, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) said it would be held before 18 December, and indicated that there would be simultaneous counting in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat.

Gujarat Assembly Elections Will be Held Before 18 Dec: EC

On Gujarat Assembly Elections, the Election Commission said the schedule for the polls would be announced soon, and that it would be held before 18 December.

This will enable simultaneous counting in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat... The poll schedule is planned as such that the Himachal result does not impact Gujarat elections.

Himachal Pradesh Election Schedule

Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh to be held on 9 November, and the results would be announced on 18 December, said Election Commission on Thursday, 12 October.

The poll process in Himachal Pradesh will start on 16 October with issue of notification. The last date for filing nominations is 23 October.
