After weeks of non-stop campaigning and high voltage speeches, the battle for Karnataka is finally over as voting came to an end today.

Siddaramaiah, the current CM of Karnataka, said that he is done with electoral politics but will continue to be involved in politics itself and will stand by those who have supported him. He added that he won’t “run away” or go to Centre, but will stay in Siddaramanahundi.

Dismissing reports predicting the possibility of a hung Assembly in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah added that it is not possible and that the Congress will emerge with a “clear majority.”

Since I began touring the state I’ve been saying this. A hung Assembly is not possible at all. We will get a clear majority.

The poll results are expected to be announced on 15 May 2018.
