In a controversial move, Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari has submitted a report to President Ram Nath Kovind recommending the imposition of President’s Rule in the state. Importantly, Koshyari’s recommendation was sent even before his own deadline to the NCP ended.

The move has stirred a flurry of reactions from across the political spectrum, with the Shiv Sena moving the Supreme Court against the Governor’s move.
